“When we heal the earth, we heal ourselves.” David Orr

Open any paper or turn on any television, and you’re bound to face at least one message about the environment. As a topic of debate for everyone from the president to preschoolers, the environment has earned a spot in the minds of a whole host of people. Whether you subscribe to the ins and outs of the environmental movement really doesn’t matter, but what does is the fact that if you want future generations to enjoy many of the benefits you do today, things are going to have to change.

For some, going green — or being environmentally friendly — means a radical life change. For others it means cutting back here and there. This blog is an attempt to offer some tips for those subscribing to the latter group, as well as to provide some explanations and background on the importance of the green movement. Lending a helping hand to our long-suffering environment is a commitment, one that exercises desire and will.

It’s not always easy being green, but it is certainly worth a try.
